Being written in pure JAVA, the most popular programming language on the market today, the technological basis for a state-of-the-art software product is given:

  • AMOS is hardware independent (Windows, Linux, UNIX server) which implies scalability / flexibility with regard to any choice of hardware.
  • Except for the database (Sybase), AMOS relies on no external software components. A database-independent version of AMOS will be available by the end of 2010.
  • AMOS is fully web enabled which implies the availability of data at any place in the world.
  • Client updates are performed via web.
  • Advanced technology has been deployed regarding system security.
  • The Graphical User Interface stands for ease of use.
  • The AMOS support server helps to optimize the communication between the customer and Swiss-AS.

Fourth Generation Of AMOS Under Way

In the context of responding to future trends, compromise is not part of our Research & Development policy. In the next months, AMOS will make a quantum jump in terms of technology due to the Smart Client Technology.
