In the last months the Mobile Device System (MDS) was developed by Swiss-AS and Dr. Thomas & Partner based on an original idea by CrossConsense, to support logistics processes.
Swiss-AS firmly believes that MDS will substantially assist its customers in additionally streamlining their store procedures as well as ultimately save costs due to better data and shorter turnaround times. The whole warehouse and logistic processes are supported by wireless devices.

- a harmonized way of defining planning information on the various maintenance events as part of the AMOS Strategic Board (ASB) item "Advanced Planning" and
- a first version with basic functionality to administrate and install loadable software in the context of New Generation Aircraft.

The next AMOS Strategic Board (ASB) meeting in Basel (April 2010) has been announced to our customers. The ASB has the task to determine the long-term trends of the software and hence ensure that AMOS will meet future industry requirements and be able to fulfill its strategic role as maintenance information management system for our customers. This time a fully electronic voting process supports our customers in electing the customer group representatives attending the ASB.
