AMOSeTL digitalises the paper tech log and delivers a fully integrated, paperless aircraft technical logbook for cockpit, cabin and maintenance staff. It provides the information each role needs through a simple, intuitive interface and works across iOS, Windows and Android, allowing airlines to use existing hardware or select the most cost-efficient devices.
A unique value proposition
The solution improves turnaround times, increases data consistency and gives crews real-time visibility of aircraft status. When connectivity is available, AMOSeTL synchronises reported defects with AMOS Maintenance Control so planning can start immediately, helping to minimise operational impact. As a Type-A EFB application, it avoids the heavy certification requirements associated with Type-B or Type-C solutions and keeps implementation effort low.
Product Architecture
AMOSeTL is built on the Flutter/Dart platform and follows the Swiss-AS design system for a consistent AMOSmobile experience. Offline-capable native apps ensure stable use in all environments. AMOScentral, a cloud-based ground server, securely relays messages between the eTL and AMOS with end-to-end encryption to ensure data integrity even when connectivity is intermittent.
The application uses a profile-centric design. Each user type receives a dedicated interface and access rights tailored to their operational tasks, improving focus and efficiency.
AMOSeTL follows the Swiss-AS product philosophy of joint development with customers. Airlines of different types and sizes contributed requirements from cockpit, cabin and maintenance roles, validated the scope and co-funded key phases of the project. This collaborative approach ensures a mature product that is integrated, practical and easy to use.
