A constantly evolving customer portfolio, accompanied by several go lives

As a continuation of 2020, the global pandemic continued to have a significant impact on the aviation industry, and Swiss-AS did not go unaffected, as the sole focus is on the aviation sector.
Bolstered by its good financial health and excellent reputation, Swiss-AS continued its successful global growth, signing no less than 12 new customers: Greater Bay Airlines, SCAT Airlines, Norse Atlantic Airways, Ultra Air, Air Greenland, Modern Logistics, Porter Airlines, PT Multitech Trans Nusantara, Air Algerie, Air Alliance, Valljet and Bulgaria Air. The new customers represent various profiles, from start-up airlines to large flag carriers, from cargo airline to business jet operator. We are delighted to have welcomed them all to our Swiss-AS community!
In addition to the multiple contract signatures, Swiss-AS had the pleasure to accompany many customers throughout their AMOS implementation projects until their successful "Go-lives". Among them were the two US carriers Eastern Airlines and Avelo Airlines, the newly founded Hong Kong-based value carrier Greater Bay Airlines as well as Gulf Air, the national carrier of Bahrain and finally HAECO Hong-Kong. With regard to the latter, after more than two years of implementation, Swiss-AS is proud to be able to state that the world-class maintenance provider relies on the cloud hosted AMOS MRO Edition.
In addition to these fixed wing “Go-lives”, Swiss-AS has also been able to work on the implementation of AMOS at helicopter operators such as UTair Engineering, Gulf Helicopter Company and DRF Luftrettung.
Despite the challenging context, Swiss-AS’ loyal AMOS customer base continued to benefit from the customer service excellence for which Swiss-AS is reputed thanks to our extremely dedicated employees working in an agile manner and according to the extraordinary measures put in place by the company.

Enhancement of established support service levels and reconnecting with the AMOS community

Although delivering certain services on-site was possible to some extent, Swiss-AS mainly supported its customers with remote services. Nevertheless, this did not discourage our customers, as our teams have always been able to provide value added services and even launch new ones. In fact, this can be evidenced by the newly extended AMOS Cloud Hosting service offer which better suits customer’s needs and has been a great success, as many of our customers have testified.
In many ways, the pandemic has brought Swiss-AS to a new level of thinking and creativity.

Continued staff growth and office expansion

While the first half of 2021 forced Swiss-AS to put its massive recruitment program which started two years ago on hold, many new employees joined Swiss-AS after the summer to further strengthen the team. To support the staff growth that will continue and to offer our personnel excellent working conditions, Swiss-AS was finally able to inaugurate its extended and brand new office spaces in Basel. And here the good news does not stop: Swiss-AS has also opened a new AMOS branch office in Tokyo in partnership with Lufthansa System, acting as an extension of the existing Singapore branch.
Thanks to its constant development efforts and its continuous success, Swiss-AS has received the "Top Aviation Tech Solution Provider in 2021" award from CIOoutlook APAC magazine.

2022 - Outlook

Although many restrictions were in place in 2021, Swiss-AS managed to keep its nose to the grindstone. Among others, Swiss-AS managed to participate in the highly anticipated "Aviation Tech week" exhibition in Toulouse, France last November. This was the perfect opportunity to (re)connect with various key players and partners in the aviation industry. Today, with the easing of the restrictions, the Swiss-AS team will be able to participate again in many of the events planned for 2022 ("HAI HELI expo" in Dallas, “MRO & Flight Ops IT Conference” in London, Miami and Bangkok, ”Aerospace Tech Week” in Atlanta and Munich).
With the ever-growing customer base, our team is constantly occupied with AMOS implementations and many recent new customers have planned to go live with AMOS this year. One of them that represents a significant milestone for Swiss-AS is the Lufthansa's “Go-Live” in Q2 2022. After pausing implementation project due to the pandemic, Lufthansa is in the process of deploying AMOS productively to maintain its seven fleets of 290 aircraft.
On the product development side, Swiss-AS continues to enhance and increase the broad scope of AMOS. One major deliverable to come with the next AMOS release is AMOSmobile/STORES, which will allow storekeepers to perform their day-to-day operations via a mobile device, without needing to use AMOS desktop or any paper documents. AMOSmobile/STORES is the first application to be developed entirely with Flutter/Dart technology. AMOS users will benefit from a completely new user experience thanks to the material design language.
The second major on-going development project for Swiss-AS, in close collaboration with its customer TAP Maintenance & Engineering, is the introduction of CROM (Component Repair, Overhaul & Manufacture). CROM will replace the existing Component Maintenance programs and in doing so will offer full integration with other AMOS modules to manage all component-related maintenance, repair, overhaul and manufacturing activities in a shop environment. The majority of the enhanced capabilities will be released with AMOS 22.6 and 22.12.
Moreover, Swiss-AS is fully committed to bring AMOS into the flight deck with the release of its new eTLB solution at the end of 2023. In partnership with a dedicated group of AMOS customers, our team is developing the future Swiss-AS paperless aircraft technical logbook application. It will be tightly integrated with AMOS and will help the flight crews to easily access and report aircraft airworthiness.

Thank you
Swiss-AS would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank our active customer base, partners and supporters all over the world for the excellent cooperation in 2021 and we look forward to continuing the teamwork with you again throughout 2022 and further.
