Swiss-AS is delighted to announce that Royal Brunei Airlines successfully went live with AMOSmobile/EXEC in June 2026. The implementation marks another important milestone in the airline’s digital transformation journey and supports its ambition to eliminate paper-based workflows across all maintenance activities.

As a long-standing AMOS user, Royal Brunei Airlines has continuously invested in modernising its maintenance and engineering operations. Operating a young fleet of Airbus A320neo and Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft, the airline identified mobile maintenance execution as a key enabler for more efficient operations and improved data quality.

With AMOSmobile/EXEC, technicians can now execute and document maintenance tasks directly at the aircraft. This reduces reliance on paper-based workflows, helps minimise manual data entry and ensures that maintenance records are available in AMOS without delay.

A phased approach

Following careful preparation and close collaboration, the implementation was delivered in two phases. Phase 1 of AMOSmobile/EXEC for Line Maintenance went live on 5 June 2026, followed by Phase 2 for Base Maintenance on 15 June 2026. This phased approach enabled Royal Brunei Airlines to gradually transition maintenance activities from paper-based processes to digital execution while ensuring operational continuity and user adoption throughout the rollout.

Improving efficiency

AMOSmobile/EXEC is a touch-optimised, fully integrated extension of AMOS that enables technicians to execute and document maintenance activities directly at the aircraft.

For Royal Brunei Airlines, the implementation supports several key operational objectives, including reducing turnaround times during hangar checks, minimising the risk of human-factor-related errors and improving the availability of real-time information across the organisation.

The ability to execute and document maintenance activities directly at the point of work improves transparency across the organisation. Teams can rely on more accurate data, faster updates and a clearer view of ongoing maintenance activities.

The implementation empowers technicians with modern tools that simplify daily tasks while supporting safer, more efficient and more connected maintenance operations.

With AMOSmobile/EXEC, Royal Brunei Airlines continues its journey towards a paperless maintenance environment, strengthening its commitment to modern, efficient and reliable maintenance operations.

"We are pleased to mark this important milestone in Royal Brunei Airlines’ digital transformation journey with the successful implementation of AMOSmobile/EXEC. This project reflects our continued commitment to embracing smarter ways of working that support both operational excellence and our broader sustainability goals.

"By enabling our Engineering teams to carry out and record maintenance activities digitally, we are taking meaningful steps towards a more paperless and efficient maintenance environment. We sincerely appreciate the strong collaboration with Swiss-AS in helping and delivering this milestone and assist us to move forward with greater efficiency, quality, streamlined paperless maintenance environment across our Engineering Team.”
